  • This is such an important point, Anne. Certainly for me in helping people resolve things like their finances after relationship breakdown it’s not always about seeing the other person’s point of view or accepting it, but about seeing a new way of doing things which can still be productive and successful. For some people they have become so used to how things are done that seeing things differently can be very difficult but incredibly rewarding, opening up so many new opportunities for them.

  • Absolutely Kimberley and with your work there will be so much emotion involved and likely some anger making people resistent to seeing something from a partner’s point of view. Probably they will have been holding on to their perception as a protection as well so lowering those barriers is not easy for people. Providing a safe non-judgemental space for people is essential to help people get some clarity and make better choices. From our conversations on and off line I get that you are sensitive to this.
